Still Life 2010-2012
In the history of photography the depiction of a human being has been more free than in painting, Where conventions have defined much of the style. The photography has established for me to travel through time and with it I am able to take influences of 17th century Northern European portraits. I find the chiaroscuro concept very captivating: reflections of light, soft darkness and shifting from light to shadows.
